I’m kinda unfamiliar with the intricacies of baseball, but I think that even though Mets has a base runner in the 6th, since it was an error it doesn’t count as a hit?
Man, Scherzer should have had two perfect games that year.
He was a single error by Escobar and a leaned into hbp by tabata away from having two perfect games In 1 season. Wow
He did this will most starters for the nats not playing
Boooooooo!!!!
Scherzer is a great pitcher but the home plate umpire set up a gargantuan strike zone.
And the next day, the Nationals went Golfing.
Hahahahahahaha!!!
I was at this game..
Still the greatest game pitched I ever saw
doesn’t matter which side, how do you boo a dominate pitching performance??! Wow
I watched this live back then i miss that mets team so fun to watch
Second time Max was robbed of a perfect game. Escobar messed up the throw in this one and Tabitha leaned into the pitch in the game again the Pirates
As a Cubs fan I can tell you anytime I've seen a no-hitter from the other pitcher we stand up and cheer like crazy. I don't get it
Mets fans are trash.
Not mad that Mets fans booed. I'm laughing, lol get fucked Mets
Mets fans booed because it was the 2nd time they were no-hit at Citi-Field that season.
Only other pitcher to do this was Nolan Ryan. Ryan set the record of 17K's in a no hitter back in 1973. Also, Nolan too had 2 no-no's that year.
I wonder what prank the last batter would have pulled if they knew more Baseball history. Nolan Ryan was dominating the Detroit Tigers in the summer of 73. He was so unstoppable that Norm Cash, a former batting champ, came to the plate in the 9th as the last batter swinging a table leg instead of a bat. When the umpire threatened to throw Cash out of the game if he didn't get a real bat he replied "I'm 0-3 and I'm not going to hit it anyway, so what's the harm?"
This is the second most dominant pitching performance in history. It has a Game Score of 104. Kerry Wood's 20K game is a 105. The only reason Wood isn't at 104 is because he hit a batter and HBP are not counted on Game Score.
Best Game Ever Pitched.
Lol at the Mets fans. Go and boo, the eternal dumpster fire of your team is good enough in exchange.
Was at this game. Wanted the Mets to win of course, but what’s one loss anyway plus it’s a no hitter, so it’s rare to see.
I was there…as a Mets fan…ouch…
Should’ve been an perfect game
Haha… the Mets fans booing is funny. That was a pretty miserable season until we made it to the postseason. Then it got miserable again in the last round. I guess that's what we get… lol
Good God man.
How come throwing out the runner at second base doesn't count as a hit for the guy who gets to first??
scherzer is not human
Fucking Mets fans man. How do you boo? Seriously! You knew you were going to the playoffs and they werent anyway, so why be a bunch of dicks about it?
Pains me to say but this no-hitter was better than Kershaw’s
Geez… it’s crazy how many strikeouts he got on his fastball. So dominant.
The error wasn’t Escobar’s throw, it wasn’t great but Robinson didn’t attack the ball, fucking pair of donkey
He Struck out 9 straight between the 3rd out of the 6th and the 2nd out of the 9th
This has to be THE MOST dominant pitching performance ever
